Policy Committee

The Policy Committee acts as the primary sounding board for UKSIF’s public policy work, which seeks to grow the market for sustainable finance and drive UK leadership in this space.

  • Advise on UKSIF’s public policy work, policy positions and prioritisation of policy themes
  • Assist the staff team to develop and deepen relationships with key stakeholders, such as regulators, officials, trade associations, government and parliament.
  • Act as a sounding board for UKSIF’s public policy work in respect of issues that affect the supply and demand for investment and finance services in the UK, the operation of the UK finance sector, and investment flows into the UK.

Industry Development Committee

The Industry Development Committee works to determine the emerging and most ground-breaking issues in advancing integration of sustainability factors into investment analysis and valuation, and advises on the priority focus areas for UKSIF’s knowledge sharing, member engagement and events programme:

  • Advise on the priority topics of focus for UKSIF events, such as our flagship annual Spring and Autumn conferences, and support UKSIF to define the desired outputs and goals to deliver high-impact events and programmes
  • Share experiences, research and information that will inform topics and enhance event content and delivery
  • Advise on opportunities for, and barriers to, the integration of ESG factors into investment analysis or valuation
  • Assist the staff team to share UKSIF’s work and deepen relationships with key stakeholders, relevant industry supporters and peers

Membership Committee

The Membership Committee acts as a support in the advancement of UKSIF’s mission and organisational development by engaging proactively and positively with members and potential members, supporting the advancement of UKSIF’s reputation in the financial services industry and supporting the Head of Governance and Strategy with the development and implementation of UKSIF’s member retention and growth strategy.

  • Help grow the membership in line with our mission, policy positions, research and knowledge sharing.
  • Act in a structured relationship management capacity to retain the breadth and depth of UKSIF’s membership.
  • Act as ambassadorial hosts at UKSIF events to share experience and benefits of membership and redirect people to the Head of Governance and Strategy or appropriate department with questions around being involved with UKSIF.
  • Act as UKSIF Ambassadors within the wider financial services industry.
  • Advise on the development and implementation of UKSIF’s membership retention and growth strategy
