Sustainable Pension Funds

The UKSIF Sustainable Pensions Project encourages occupational pension funds to adopt more sustainable and responsible investment strategies, with the aim of enhancing long-term shareholder value and financial returns for fund members.

We provide support and resources to corporate and local authority pension funds, consultants and policy makers.

Latest News:

Publications

Every two years, we produce 'Responsible Business: Sustainable Pension' (PDF, 1.31MB) which assesses how the pension funds of the UK's corporate responsibility leaders are approaching responsible investment. The 2009 survey was published in June.

UKSIF also publishes reports highlighting best practice across public sector pension funds and identifying emerging opportunities for all funds. See publications for full list of reports.

Library and Newsletter

We also provide in-depth resources for pension fund trustees and their advisers. These include the Sustainable Pensions Library and our quarterly e-newsletter. All resources are free to use and available to everyone.

About the Project

The Sustainable Pensions Project was launched in 2006. It is overseen by an independent Sustainable Pensions Advisory Board, chaired by Michael Deakin.
