Upstream is a strategic environmental and sustainability consultancy specialising in the property and financial sectors. Upstream provides advice and guidance to several of the UK's largest property investors and developers, assisting them to develop corporate environmental, sustainability and corporate responsibility strategies. Of particular interest to UKSIF members will be Upstream's work to assess the business case for Socially Responsible Property Investment and to enable clients to develop socially responsible property portfolios.
Many of Upstream's client are members of our Property Environment Group (PEG) which provides an annual corporate environmental benchmarking service to its members as well as on-line intelligence through its web site www.pegonline.net and seminars for PEG members tonetwork with each other on a regular basis. Upstream also enables clients to engage with their managing agents by developing an ongoing programme of environmental management through 'Upstream Profiles' and also undertakes performance benchmarking for shopping centre and city centre offices.
