The aims and objectives of UKSIF's Retail Revolution programme include:

  • To develop and implement Adviser Guidelines and Toolkit for independent financial advisers (IFAs).
     
  • To liaise with the Financial Services Authority (FSA) to encourage more IFA's to ask the ethical question (in Phase 2).
     
  • To promote ethical investment in UKSIF's parliamentary work and provide information and support for the All-Party Parliamentary Group (APPG) on SRI (in Phase 1).
     
  • To lead on research and initiatives to influence policy and regulatory reform in key areas.
     
  • To inform, educate and raise awareness of ethical investment amongst target groups in the general population through www.investability.org, press work and alliances with NGOs, campaigning groups, ethical product companies and consumer fund providers.
     
  • To initiate and co-ordinate research commissioned by sponsors and undertaken by others on ethical investment, including initiatives to mark the 20th anniversary of ethical consumer funds in the UK.
     
  • To co-ordinate events, such as roundtables and conferences for targeted audiences.
     
  • To provide the secretariat for the Ethical Investment Association.
     
  • To support the development of the Eurosif Transparency Guidelines for Retail SRI Funds.
